Knot is an NPC that can be found on the southern side of Port Monnaie near the dock. He's supposed to board one of the ships that go to the Merchant Isles but he can't do that because he lost his hat.

After completing Gone With The Wind Knot will tell the player that the captain of the ship has already decided to go without him and that the player can keep the hat, giving the item Sailor Hat.
