Amalet
Amalet is the first Sentient Artifact that the player encounters. Amalet briefly controlled GUN-D4M before being defeated.
Profile
Appearance
Amalet is a bright green, token-like amulet with a yellow eye in the center. The edges of the amulet's body are darker green with small, yellow studs. A dull green string is tied to a gold loop on the top of its body.
On their sprite, they lack the gold studs, and their eye appears as a yellow diamond.
Personality
Amalet carries a proper disposition and speaks with a refined tone, giving them an uppity seeming personality. Like many of the twisted artifacts, Amalet is overly prideful of their power.
Plot
Amalet was sealed away deep within Flying Fortress along with GUN-D4M for a thousand years. After being discovered by the player, Amalet seizes control of GUN-D4M and uses its body as a vessel to attack the player.
After being defeated, they demand the player become their slave and carry them through the "pathetic" world in search of a new vessel, in exchange for sparing their life. They are surprised, however, when the player simply puts Amalet in their inventory.
Amalet is later brought back to the Collector's HQ, after having to deal with Marino snatching the artifact briefly.
