- Simon is based on Yogscast's Simon "Honeydew" Lane, whos represented on the youtube channel he hosts with Lewis "Xephos" Brindley as a ginger-haired dwarf. We can see this through the quotes used by his character.
- There is a grave in Pumpkin Woods with the name "Nomis" on it. Reading it backwards the name spells "Simon"; this is also where Treasure Map 008 is acquired.
