” |
Road to the City is the first quest the player receives upon starting a new game. It involves descending the Pillar Mountains and making your way towards Evergrind City, where the Collector's Exam takes place.
Objectives
- Find your Wooden Sword. Didn't Jonathan borrow it?
- Go get your Wooden Shield from the storage cave.
- Talk to Grampa Joe and leave the village.
- Venture down the Pillar Mountains.
- Enter the grand city of Evergrind City.
Walkthrough
To progress towards Pillar Mountains, you'll have to collect your Wooden Sword and Wooden Shield. The sword can be taken from Mrs. Wourie inside the house to the far west; you can then go to the cave in the west and use the sword to break the crates blocking the chest. Opening it will grant you the shield.
Talking to Grandpa with both items allows you to descend the mountain, and also grants you an alternate melee weapon, the Big Branch. Upon reaching the stone bridge, you will have to face Vilya, Freddy and Teddy, so prepare yourself by gathering a few levels beforehand.
Upon defeating them, you can progress towards Evergrind Fields East. Evergrind City, the quest's end point, will be located to the left.
Tips
- There are three chests that can be looted on this path
- You can use your Wooden Sword to craft an early One-Handed Weapon, The Stinger, by farming Honey and Bee Stingers from Mrs. Bees.
