Mrs. Bee

A super cute little bee that wouldn't dream of stalking and attacking weary travelers in The Mountains!

Protip: Bees are flying enemies and can only be attacked when they swoop down towards the ground! Have you tried using the shield against them?

Mrs. Bees are one of the first enemies that the player encounters. While easy to defeat, they cannot be damaged by most attacks while flying.

Behavior

Movement

Mrs. Bees will circle their target clockwise, and will attack if they line up on the horizontal axis with their target.

If the Bee is off of the circular path, it will try to redirect itself on it while following the target.

Swoop Attack

Mrs. Bees will attack either from the left or right side of their target, dealing ATK damage to all players in their path. This attack deals reduced damage against shields.

Elite Bees attack much faster than regular Bees. In addition to that, they are resistant to knockback, and will not get interrupted by damage during their swoop from most attacks.

Shield Stun

If a Bee's swoop attack is blocked, it lands on the ground and remains stunned for 3 seconds on Normal, and 1.5 seconds on Hard.

If the swoop attack was Perfect Guarded, the stun duration is tripled.

Tips

  • Regular Bees can be damaged while at the bottom of their swoop attack. You can kill them easily by baiting an attack and using a Two-Handed Basic Attack, or using skills such as Fireball, Blade Flurry and Flame Thrower to hurt them head on
    • This tactic doesn't work as well against Elite Bees, since they have more HP and do not get interrupted by regular damage
  • Against multiple bees, you can try to Perfect Guard the first bee that swoops down, then hold your shield against the rest of them. If you time it right, you will be able to kill them all with a Critical Basic Attack (thanks to the Perfect Guard bonus from earlier)
  • Bronze Charge Cloud Strike can damage Bees even while in flight
    • While overkill for such a task, Gold Charge Earth Spike can also damage Bees while in flight, and Silver Charge Meteor can set them on fire from the impact
  • Bees can still be targeted by Utility spells, regardless of their flight status
