Walkthrough
Reaching the cave
Lurifix blocks the way to Tai Ming yet again. He tells you that a locked door is in the cave behind him, and will give you the key for it if you get one final item.
The cave in question is located east from the Mt. Bloom Teleport Plate. The entrance is blocked by Steve, a miner with a severe case of mycophobia. Luring a Shroomie and bringing it close to him will scare him and make him run away, allowing you to go further.
The path to the right goes to a cave filled with poisonous gas. A chest holding the quest item can be seen on a ledge above, but reaching it requires traversing a couple of phase courses and tunnels filled with poisonous gas. The gas is similar in function to the one created by Toxic Tulips, but there is a bigger delay between entering the gas and being damaged by it, allowing you to last longer in it.
The cave path
The first obstacle is a tunnel filled with poisonous gas. Breaking the obstacles with your Basic Attacks or skills will allow you to progress until the end. Additionally, there are 
Health Orbs encased in crystals which can be broken and used for healing.
The second part is a phase course consisting of mirrors. There is an optional chest in the second part which contains the 
Red Emitter Matrix, and can be used to craft the 
Red Laser Sword.
Another poison tunnel follows. Albeit shorter in size, you are forced into an enemy encounter, and escaping towards the tunnel's end is only possible after defeating all enemies.
The fourth part consists of a phase course introducing phase barrels. In the second room, there is an optional chest containing the 
Lightning Glove.
The fifth obstacle involves a poison gas tunnel with a total of two enemy encounters preventing progression. In between them there is a small phasing section with two branches separated by a mirror: the right one goes towards the tunnel's end, the left one goes to an optional chest that contains the 
Cat Screen.
Afterwards, one final phase course remains. At the end, there's a block puzzle that involves pushing mirror blocks to move the phase mirrors in real time, and plot a path towards the end. Going through the end leads you to the initial ledge with the quest item chest, which you can now open.
Finally, you can go back to Lurifix, turn in the quest, and progress towards Tai Ming.
Notes
- The cave path can prove to be very long and tedious. Make sure you can do it in one sitting, as quitting will bring you back to the start. It might take up to 25 minutes, depending on how proficient you are with phasing
