Health Potion (consumable) is a usable item that replaces the functionality of Health Potions in Arcade Mode.
Obtaining
Health Potions can be obtained in a few ways:
- Starting Floor 02 (Evergrind Fields) or above with Full HP. This will cause the health orb that you normally receive to be swapped with a Health Potion
- If you have the Curse No Health Orbs active, the potion will fail to spawn
- Rewarded from a Health Lood defeated in time. There is a small chance that the Lood will reward an egg instead
- Rewarded from a Grindea Treasure Statue that would normally contain the healing reward. The orb will be swapped with a potion if the statue is activated at Full HP
Use
Consumable Health Potions heal for 35% HP in Catalyst of Power or below, and 20% HP in Catalyst of Mortality and above.
The health recovered can be increased by the Fine Taste talent.
Tips
- Health Potions in Arcade Mode are hard to come by. Consider saving them for later floors and instead rely on Health Orbs for healing
- Unlike the rechargeable Story Mode version, Consumable Health Potions have no cooldown. You can use this to quickly recover from low HP during boss fights or hard rooms, as long as you have a stock of potions ready
- Consider avoiding opening Grindea Treasure Statues until you've cleared most of the floor, or are currently at Full HP. If you happen to finish a floor with Full HP, any potential health orb reward will have a potion instead.
- If you want to recover a large potion of your health, consider refunding some of your talent points and getting Fine Taste level 3 (if you haven't already). Just like the Health Insurance strategy, this will make your health potions more efficient, and once you're done, you can refund the points back into stronger talents
