Halloweed

These beautiful yet deadly creatures originate from its relative the Bloomos, found around Evergrind City. The main difference is its more ghastly appearance, but it can also be differentiated by its characteristic smell.

Most importantly, unlike a Bloomo, the Halloweeds have developed the ability to burrow in order to position itself better for an assault. Beware!

Halloweeds are mutated Bloomos, which initially appear as an innocent little flower. Unlike Bloomos, Halloweeds can move around via burrowing, and are more agressive with their swipes.

Behavior

Halloweeds spawn hidden in the ground, with a small flower marking their position. Upon being approached, they will start burrowing and close in on the player to attack them.

Halloweeds are not interrupted by any attacks, with the exception of Fire element spells (Fireball, Flame Thrower and Meteor).

Burrow

Halloweeds initiate a burrow upon being approached for the first time, or whenever there's no targets in attack range for a period of time. They stop their burrow once close enough, dealing ATK damage to players at the exit location.

Swipe

Just like Bloomos, Halloweeds swipe at nearby players, dealing ATK + 35 damage on hit, although at a much faster rate. Shielding the swipe will increase the time before the Halloweed's next attack.

Game Mode Differences

In Story Mode, Elite Halloweeds have +140% Health compared to their regular counterparts. In Arcade Mode, the health increase does not apply, and Elite and regular Halloweeds have the same health amount.

Tips

  • While Halloweeds can chase you around the map, it's not necessary to fight them right away. You can face a dig attack, shield it, then back off to do some important stuff before th Helloweed initiates the next burrow attack
  • In Arcade Mode, make sure you won't get attacked from behind by other monsters while fighting the Helloweed in melee
