Fortify

Fortify is an enhancing utility skill, which grants a Defense, Shield Regen and EP Regen buff upon cast.

Base Charge

Casts a buff on yourself or on an ally, increasing all of the following stats:

Defense by 20 %, plus 4 % for every extra point put into the skill.

Shield Regen speed by 50 %, plus 25 % for every extra point put into the skill.

EP Regen speed by 10 %, plus 2.5 % for every extra point put into the skill.

The buff will last for 15 seconds. Recasting the buff on the same target will refresh the duration.

Mechanics

Upon cast, Fortify places a buff on the target that lasts for 15 seconds. This duration can be increased by the Got You Covered talent.

The buff increases the following stats:

• DEF Multiplier: 16% + 4% * Skill Level
• Shield Regen: 25% + 25% * Skill Level
• EP Regen: 7.5 + 2.5 * Skill Level

The EP regen stacks additively with EP provided from items and the Metabolism talent, while the Defense multiplier stacks additively with other multipliers from talents such as Brawler.

Shield Regen refers to the increased Shield HP regeneration.

Notes

• Considering the natural EP regeneration as 6 EP / second, Level 3 Fortify regenerates 0.9 EP / second, which results in 13.5 EP regenerated over its whole duration
  • With maxed Got You Covered, this is increased to 18 EP total
• With 3 stacks of maxed Utility Flow (45% EP reduction), the cost of the skill is reduced from 30 to 16.5 EP
  • With maxed Got You Covered, this means that Fortify actually regenerates 1.5 more EP than it consumes, making it a net positive

Tips

• Fortify is best used during boss fights, where the length of the encounter justifies the defensive boost
• While Fortify doesn't reduce the delay before Shield Regen starts, it can still be useful to cast it after a Shield Break. At Level 3 Fortify, it quickens recovery by about one second
