Shadow Clone is a one-handed weapon skill. On cast, it summons up to two Shadow Clones, which copy the player's basic attacks, and roll separately for special effects.

Base Charge

Summon a ghost image of yourself which will deal bonus damage on each basic attack. At level one, the clone will deal 5 (+0.5 x skill lvl) % of the original damage.

Additionally, your clone has a 40 (+1 x skill lvl) % chance of applying any bonus effects attached to your basic attacks. This includes talents (such as Burning Weapon), cards and items granting basic attack modifiers.

Bronze Charge
Slightly increases the damage of the first clone, for a total of 7 (+0.5 x skill lvl) % of your basic attack damage.
Silver Charge

Adds a second clone, which deals 15 (+0.5 x skill lvl) % of your base damage.

Just like the first clone, it has a chance of applying basic attack bonus effects.

Gold Charge

Significantly buffs the clones, adding 10 % of your basic attack damage to both of them.

The chance of applying bonus effects is increased to 70 % for each clone.

Performance for Max Level

For Level 10 Shadow Clone, the performance is as follows:

  • Base
    • Damage: 10%
    • Proc Chance: 50%
  • Bronze
    • Damage: 12%
    • Proc Chance: 50%
  • Silver
    • Damage: 12% + 20%
    • Proc Chance: 50%, 50%
  • Gold
    • Damage: 22% + 30%
    • Proc Chance: 70%, 70%

Mechanics

Shadow Clones copy the user's Basic Attacks, dealing reduced damage and having a smaller chance to proc for special effects. The clone attacks are delayed, hitting shortly after the player's own attack.

Shadow Clone damage cannot interrupt enemies in any way, and will not deal damage to Crates, Sand Raven's Eggs, and Thorns.

Shadow Clone Proc

Upon a basic attack, the 40 - 70% chance is rolled for each of the existing Shadow Clones.

If the roll succeeds, the Shadow Clone copies the user's special effects, meaning that they can trigger the following:

  • Burning Weapon and Second Wind will roll for a proc on each enemy hit
  • Giant Icicle.png Giant Icicle, the Yeti card and Chilling Touch sum their proc chances and roll for the chill effect on each enemy hit
  • Combo Starter and Brawler will activate (if they haven't already from the initial strike)
  • 1h cookbook.png Recipe Book will roll for a page drop for each enemy hit
  • Mysterycube.png Mysterious Cube will roll for its special effect (once per attack, and the hit enemy is not a Chicken)
  • Most Pins that add stacks on Basic Attacks will trigger (once per attack, and the hit enemy is not a Chicken)

Shadow Clones cannot proc the Frostling and Orange Slime card effects, and Critical Hits ignore the Shadow Clone Proc, rolling for each of the clone attacks as normal based on the user's Critical Chance.

Tips

  • Using Second Wind with Shadow Clones allows you to recover your EP extremely fast, since each clone attack gains a chance to restore EP
  • Shadow Clones can be used to quickly set the enemy on fire or chill them using talents, and set them up for a combo faster
